Victory will be awarded to the last Viking to come ashore who can swear an oath that he/she received no aid "from boat or float," and as a prize they will be allowed to make any request of the losing chiefs. The book begins with the normally solitary, Madguts the Murderous (head of the Murderous tribe), extending an invitation to the Hooligans and Bog-Burgulars to compete in an Intertribal Friendly Swimming Race. Fortunately, Hiccup is able to find allies in even the darkest of places, and is able to win over the enslaved Wanderer population. ![]() ![]() They must escape from Hysterics and a sea dragon and return home within three months, five days, and six hours, or they will have no homes to return to. ![]() When the Intertribal Friendly Swimming Race goes terribly wrong, Hiccup, Fishlegs, and Camicazi find themselves bound for America, the land-that-does-not-exist. ![]()
